H2S Alive (EnForm)

Training Overview

This course is designed to provide Petroleum Industry workers with the knowledge and skills necessary to recognize and respond to Hydrogen Sulphide (H₂S) emergencies. This course was developed and is administered in accordance with guidelines established and maintained by EnForm. The instructors are certified according to EnForm requirements. Areas of study will include: H₂S properties; initial response strategy; respiratory protective equipment; detection of H₂S; rescue techniques; and rescue breathing. Practical training will be conducted in the following subject areas: Self Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA); Supplied Air Breathing Apparatus (on request); Gas Detection; Rescue Techniques; and Rescue Breathing.

Training Duration and Timings

Approximately 8 hours of training completed over 1 day.

Classes run from 0800 to 1700 (time can be altered if necessary). Trainees absent from any component of the program will not be issued a certification until they have completed all requirements.
